We walked the opposite way (west) this morning to see the other side of the area and to get in another nice long walk. John had scheduled a car with Enterprise and they were going to pick him up around 9:30 to get the car. I was excited to get out and see the area and to get my toes in the sand. We are on the inter-coastal side of the peninsula and it is about 5 miles to get to the beach. We headed out about 11:00 with John and Jackie from EuFLORia. We were in search for a place to eat and have a beer on the beach. We got to FloraBama and stopped at the Florabama Yacht Club. What a fun place to sit by the sand and water, listening to music from a guy singing and playing the guitar and enjoying lunch. You can pull your boat right up on the sand and tie up if coming by water. I think we may just have to dinghy over here when we are further east later in the week.

Gumbo and Loster corn dogs – YUMMY!! Chargrilled Oysters and Mahi Reuben – Yum!
It did not take long for John and Jackie to dive in to the Oysters.
We headed over to Orange Beach Marina to check out the facilities. It is a really nice marina and a possibility for our next stop. We also decided to check out Bear Marina while we were so close. On our way back we stopped at the Orange Beach Art Center. They had a great display of ScareCrows and we decided to have a little fun.

Tonight we decided to catch the 7:00 Lights Spectacular show on Main Street. There were a lot of people walking around and hayrides for kids or kids at heart.
