We woke to a heavy layer of fog this morning.  We could not even see across the marina it was so thick.  Our plans were to move the boats closer to the marina facilities first light this morning and then return the car.  The fog was so thick we postponed for a few hours while waiting on the fog to lift.  We checked it at 8:00 still no go and within 10 minutes everything was so clear.  It is amazing how fast it cleared just needed a little of the sun to peak through.

We moved the boats so that John could head out to take the car back by 9:00 am.  This is the third time to squeeze into a spot that has the poles that I have to lasso while going past to hold the bow of the boat.  I am getting a little better and John is doing great with backing into the slip.  I still get all nervous and I am sure that will past eventually since this is the type of slips we will have the rest of the time we are on this journey.

Jackie and I went out for coffee at 9:00 and then a little shopping once the stores opened.  We got back to the boat about 12:30 and John F. told us that a friend was coming to dinner and she was cooking.  Hmmmm!  What can we fix?  What a great afternoon.  I cooked Pumpkin cookies with Maple frosting (I must say they were delish).  The appetizer was Artichokes, jalapenos. parmesan and moterray cheese baked on flat bread.  I was also going to make a chopped salad with a basil cream dressing.  Jackie and I decided on Crawfish Etoufee, rice, roasted squash and crusty bread.  The afternoon was full of chopping, cutting, sauteing, baking, and roasting. We had a spread and it looked great on the aft cockpit of EuFLORia.   A few of the other boaters on the dock walked by and said it looked like Coastal Living right out of the magazine.  I would have to say we were successful.

Of course the Cowboys were playing on our boat so John made a few excuses to go next door and check the score. They played hard but lost in overtime.  🙁
