November 4, 2014 – Panama City Marina to Scipio Creek Marina

Today we traveled to Apalachicola, FL and arrived at approximately 2:00 pm at Scipio Creek Marina.  Once we got tied up to the wall we were able to fill with fuel getting ready to make a crossing on Wednesday the 5th.

 

As we traveled down the intercoastal I noticed how familiar the long canal between bays was with the Tenn-Tom.  I also noticed the differences – landscape with palms, sand and lower banks.  I also noticed all the boats that were along the waterway w/ docks from the different homes or abandoned docks and boats.  The easy way to dispose of boats in Florida is to remove all the vessel numbers and dump the boat along the intercoastal.  There were many along our way.

Once we got all settled and filled with fuel we decided to head over and see Dorthy and Bill on Full Circle.  They also plan on crossing tomorrow with a couple of other boats.

We all went to dinner at Up the Creek Raw Bar which overlooked the water.  Enjoyed our dinner and time with friends.
